A short game set during the Cold War
Featuring noir-style visuals, GET OUT! is a free-to-play point-and-click puzzle game from Milpitians. Set in an apartment in 1953 London during the Cold War, the player assumes the role of a KGB operative who got their cover blown, and they must solve puzzles to ensure their successful extraction.
Escape from your London apartment
As GET OUT! centers on espionage, the puzzles consist of the player collecting objects, decoding messages in invisible ink, finding a code, and the like. Due to the lack of complexity, all the puzzles are a walk in the park, disappointing players who want something more intellectually stimulating.
There’s no overarching plot, though, but the notes you’ll find help illuminate what’s happening in the game. What’s more, beating it rewards you with fascinating historical facts about various espionage techniques used by spy agencies and operatives. Take note, however, that this game only takes around 20 minutes to complete.
Too short
From the title alone, GET OUT! is essentially an escape game infused with an element of espionage. With easy-to-solve puzzles that involve deciphering messages and the like, players can expect to finish this game in 20 minutes or so. Still, it would be better if the game was longer.
